Dhaka
Dhaka is the largest and
capital city of Bangladesh. It has attracted traveler from distant places and
closer throughout all ages. It has founded in near 1608 A.D as the seat of
Mughal Viceroy of Bengal. It has many amalgamation of old and new archeological
trends. Dhaka is developing fast as a modern city with its different activity
and culture. This is the centre for education, politics, medical treatment,
business, industrial concern etc. There are so many exciting places to visit
here. Some of them is enlisted below,

Lalbag Fort: A 17th century incomplete fort. This fort is also known as Fort Aurangabad
which stands proudly before the Buriganga River in the southwestern part of
Dhaka city. Started by Prince Mughal Subahdar Muhammad Azam Shah and handed to then governor of Dhaka Shaista
Khan for completation, who didn’t finish it because of death of her daughter
Pari Bibi whose tomb is inside the fort. The fort is combination of three
buildings with gateways and a damaged portification wall. There is a small
museum inside Mughal paintings and calligraphy, along with swords and firearms.

Ahsan Manzil: Dating from 1872, Ahsan Manjil was built on the
site of an old French factory by Nawab Abdul Gani, the city’s wealthiest
landowner in that time. It is
constructed in the Indo-Saracenic Revival architecture. Some 16 years after its construction, it was
damaged by a tornado. After reconstructed again, it became even grander than
before. To preserve the cultural and history this area,
the palace became the Bangladesh National Museum in 1992.

Parliament Building: One of the finest architecture of world which is renowned by American
architect and Yale University Professor Louis I. Kahn. Construction was started in 1961 and completed on 28 January 1982 with
the total cost was about 32 million dollars. Originally
commissioned by the Pakistani’s when Bangladesh was known as East Pakistan
after Partition of the Indian Sub-Continent, was meant to serve as the second
seat of the national parliament. It is situated at
Sher-E-Bangla Nagar in Dhaka. It has been used for the Bangladesh National
Assembly.

The Other Tourist Attractive Sites of Bangladesh
Sundarbans
Sundarbans is placed near Khulna
which about 320 km west of Dhaka. Sundarbans is also known as the home of Royal
Bengal Tiger and mangrove forest. One find tides flowing in two directions in
the same creek and often tigers are swimming across a river or crocodile
basking in the sun. It is also known as the largest mangrove forest in the
world.

Cox’s Bazar
cox`s bazar is the world longest sandy sea beach with line of mountain. You can search on
Google or see the Wikipedia for more information about unbroken and 155 km
longest awesome sea Beach of Bay Of Bengal Sea in Bangladesh. Most of the tourist wish to visit
cox`s bazar. Cox`s bazar have the hundreds of world class international five
star residential hotels. It is located 152 kilometres (94 mi) south of the industrial port
of Chittagong.

Bandar
Ban
Bandarban
is the biggest mountain district in the Chittagong division. Many of the
mountains are located here. People who love to visit mountain area will
definitely like Bandar Ban. Nilgiri is the most popular tourist attraction site

Sylhet
Sylhet
is a divisional district in Bangladesh. Sylhet have the popular tourist spot
like Jaflong. Jaflong is
located in Gowainghat Upazila of Sylhet District and situated at the border
between Bangladesh and the Indian state of Meghalaya. Jaflong is famous for its
stone collections and popular home of the Khasi tribe. Lawachara national park, Madhabkunda waterfall
and sreemongal is the other tourist attraction sites in Sylhet.

Rangamati
It's a travel destination of Bangladesh which is known as "Lake
City". Roads with green fields and zigzag hills will take you to the
Rangamati. Rangamati is a favorite holiday resort because of its amazing
landscape. Kaptai lake, the hanging bridge and Pablakhali reserve forest are
some of the notable locations to visit in Rangamati.

The Sixty Dome Mosque
The Sixty Dome Mosque
known as Shat Gambuj Mosque. It is one of the largest mosque and built in
Sultanate period. The mosque
is located in the suburbs of Bagerhat in bagerhat city in Bagerhat
district, in the Khulna division southeast of Bangladesh. The city was founded in the 15th century by the
warrior saint Turkish general Ulugh Khan Jahan Ali. The construction of the masque as started in 1442 and it was completed
in 1459. The mosque is usually used for prayers and also
used for madrasha and assembly hall. Mostly religious tourists visit this spot.The site has been recognized as a UNESCO world heritage site
in 1983.

which known as the largest Buddhist seat of learning, Kuakata, Mahasthangarh,
Saint martins island in the Bay of Bengal, Patenga sea beach in Chittagong,
Mainamati which is known as seat of lost dynasties etc.
